chark is an in-car delivery service which combines mobility and parking. The app enables Mercedes-Benz drivers to order in every online shop worldwide and get their orders delivered right into the trunk of their parked car. The app makes use of the technology implemented in Mercedes-Benz vehicles already today, to remotely open and close them. chark provides a platform for third party delivery services to gain one-time only access to the vehicle using the cars digital key, and an app for users to track when and by whom their car is accessed – transparent, convenient and safe.
chark was conceptualized by six employees of Daimler AG and Lab1886 in 2015. The first test pilot of chark started in 2016, after chark has proven itself in front of the Lab1886 shark tank. Eventually, chark became the first corporate start-up of Lab1886. On the basis of the alpha phase user-feedback, the app has been re-released and developed over 20 times. In June 2019, chark went into its beta phase with 500 testers in and around Stuttgart and Berlin, Germany. So far 1000+ deliveries confirm the success of the service.

After your parcel arrived at the chark-Hub, you’ll receive an access-request.
Choose a time slot, vehicle, and parking address. You’ll get notified once your parcel was delivered, including a service report with picture.
